Course objectives:
To understand the causes and effects of pollution in the various media and how it may be controlled; to be aware of the relevant legislation and good practice; to appreciate the interface between management in general and environmental management; to implement energy savings and to promote energy conservation; to identify practical ways for reducing environmental impacts strategically and operationally
Who should attend:
Managers with environmental responsibilities: facilities managers, advisors (health & safety or quality systems), those seeking a career in environmental management, senior workers. Ideally the course is run ‘in house’ and should be considered as a ‘foundation in Environmental Management which is run as a public course by Safety Solutions in London and the University of Hull. The ‘in house’ IOSH programme is normally run as a five day block.
